Some Fun Facts about Tom Scott:
Southern California native, who moved to the “other” South about 15 years ago, and loves being a native of the Natural State. #WPS! My passion for Radio began as a teenager when I was doing “music transitions” as I called them in my room. Today, they’re referred to as a segue.
Fast forward a few years later, and I’m graduating broadcasting school at the top of my class, and then I find myself cracking the Mic open at one of Orange County’s biggest stations at the time – 95.9 KEZY. Big shout to my #firstboss who gave me that shot, and who also became my employer several times over my career – Craig Powers. Love yah CP! He’s at CURB Records now hanging with guys like “For King & Country” And noo, I’m not jelly…ok maybe I am a little. Lol
As we all know, Radio can take you places, so when the phone rang…I usually followed my passion and in turn, enjoyed some amazing stops along the way over the last 27+ years. Markets like: L.A., O.C., San Bernardino/Riverside, Las Vegas, OKC, Memphis, and now Little Rock. It’s been a privilege to be a part of stations like: 102.7 KIIS-FM/Los Angeles, 95.9 KEZY/Orange County, 94.3 KIK-FM/Orange County, 95.1 KFRG/Riverside, MIX 94.1/Las Vegas, LITE 100.5/Las Vegas, 88.5 The House FM/Oklahoma City, 107.5 WHBQ/Memphis, to finally – the station I listened to while driving up Chenal 15 years ago…B-98.5/Little Rock. When I’m not hangin’ out with my beautiful wife Mitten-Nicole and our puppies Mr. Bentley and Teddie…I’m probably doing one of the following activities: singing at church or serving on the production team, out on the water somewhere tryin to catch that fish who always seems to get away, (the struggle is REAL) producing/directing live events/concerts around the U.S., or traveling back to California to visit family when I can. Aside from that, you can catch me on the weekends here at B-98.5 or filling in for my buddy Randy Cain hosting the Bistro Lunch during the Mid-Days. Look forward to hangin out on the radio together!
