Strange News: Injured Goose Adopts Homeowners
10:16AM August 2, 2012

A family from Champaign, Illinois, got a knock on the door from an unexpected visitor on Saturday that has changed their lives. But it wasn't a long-lost relative, it was an injured goose.

WICD-TV reports the Canadian goose the family named Aflack, took a shine to 26-year-old Jarrell Johnson, the  son of the homeowners; the bird imitates Jarrell when he flaps his arms, and follows him wherever he goes. "I think now he's adopted me as his daddy," Johnson jokes.

The family is weighing their options regarding what to do next with their fine feathered friend, who is doing better -- but for now they're just enjoying his company.
