9:40AM December 6, 2012

A couple in Northern California is behind bars, after they allegedly held a handyman captive and forced him to work on their home.

Jason DeJesus and Chanelle Troedson are accused of beating their victim and holding him against his will for more than seven hours, until he managed to escape when they drove their victim to a gas station to buy supplies.

After his escape, he ran to a residence and used a homeowner's phone to call the cops. His alleged captors were charged with suspicion of assault, kidnapping and false imprisonment.

DeJesus, 36, and Troedson, 33, reportedly lured the handyman to their residence to discuss a dispute he had with another client, their relative.
